There's a lot of economic 'splaining' to voters in an attempt to smear President Trump's plan to use tariffs. In a CNBC interview, Howard Lutnick, CEO Cantor Fitzgerald explains how tariffs work. In fact, the United States used tariffs in the Marshal Plan after WWII to rebuild Europe and Japan. But in that plan, tariffs were placed on U.S. products so that Europe and Japan used that money to put their economies back together. In fact, they are still using those tariffs against American products to this day, 80 years since the world war.
