  • (John Nolte, Breitbart News) Within hours of the 2024 election being called for Donald Trump, I published this piece declaring the end of the era of corporate media dominance.

“The Road to the White House no longer goes through 60 Minutes, CNN, Fox News, Meet the Press, the New York Times editorial board, or the cover of Time Magazine,” I wrote. “That road now runs through the Joe Rogan Experience, Breitbart News, New Media, podcasts, talk radio, and social media.”

Nolte's article goes on to cite how the Los Angeles Times just fired its editorial board. CNN will implement another round of layoffs that will impact hundreds of employees as well as some high-profile hosts. Comcast is looking to see off MSNBC after years of losing profits. And there's more.

It's a striking inflection point or tipping point depending on your perspective where people are shifting their viewing preferences to digital media away from analog broadcast along with the distrust in media causing people to ignore what they're being told. How it all shakes out is unknown. But if Warren Buffet can make billions on the demise of businesses, surely some of us can make a media spaceship out of used parts like Elon Musk's SpaceX.
