On May 5, 2025, President Trump signed an executive order prohibiting gain-of-function research, a controversial practice involving the enhancement of pathogens. The move, aimed at addressing biosecurity concerns, has sparked debate among scientists and policymakers. Details of the order and its implications are outlined in a recent report.

Flashback: In a 2012 paper published in mBio, Dr. Anthony Fauci wrote: “Scientists working in this field might say—as indeed I have said—that the benefits of such experiments and the resulting knowledge outweigh the risks.” After over one hundred scientists convinced President Obama to "pause" funding GOF research, Dr. Fauci wrote a carve out in Obama's policy directive allowing him to launder taxpayer funds to EcoHealth. The ironically named organization then funneled those funds to the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

Fauci denies any gain-of-function funding. Kind of like Jeffrey Dahmer who swore his kitchen experiments were for "culinary science," Fauci insisted his funding of WIV's viral recipes was purely for public health—yet both left us with a bad taste and a lot of questions! Unlike Dahmer’s freezer, though, Fauci’s paper trail is still cooking up more evidence of his involvement in the worst manmade pandemic in world history.
