Compared to President Trump’s first term, his 2025 cabinet picks have demonstrated outstanding competence. From Secretary of State Marco Rubio to Lee Zeldin as Director of the EPA, and Tom Homan executing Trump’s border security agenda, all three have hit the ground running, delivering real results within the first few days.

Secretary of State Rubio has already negotiated an agreement with Panama to expel China from the Panama Canal and restructure its relationship with the United States. The former senator has also taken control of USAID, aiming to reevaluate its mission and dismantle what he describes as a money-laundering operation under the guise of promoting democracy.

According to Rubio, USAID has lost its focus and abandoned the "national interest" - telling Fox: "They have basically evolved into an agency that believes that they’re not even a U.S. government agency, that they are out — they’re a global charity, that they take the taxpayer money, and they spend it as a global charity irrespective of whether it is in the national interest or not in the national interest."

As border czar, Tom Homan has already overseen the arrest of thousands of criminal illegal aliens nationwide and achieved a 93% reduction in illegal crossings at the southern border. This stands in stark contrast to President Biden’s claim that nothing could be done to stem the historic surge in illegal immigration without congressional approval of a Democrat-backed bill—one that would have legalized unprecedented levels of migration and granted amnesty to millions. In just a few weeks, Homan has completely shifted the dynamic and is now positioned to go on the offensive against Mexican drug cartels, which had effectively controlled the border under Biden.

At the EPA, Lee Zeldin has already outlined a five-pillar agenda to fulfill Trump’s vision for American energy independence:

“To achieve energy independence, we need to become energy-dominant. We must bring back American auto jobs, establish the United States as the global leader in AI, and pursue permitting reform to drive greater investment in our economy. The EPA has a role to play in this effort. Our mission is to protect human health and the environment, and we can absolutely fulfill that mission while fostering American innovation, creating jobs, and remaining accountable to the public and Congress. We’re hitting the ground running.”

Zeldin made these remarks in an exclusive interview with Breitbart.
