Larry the Cable Guy Reminds Us What the Election Was About

As we go around the federal government funding mountain yet again, Larry the Cable Guy calls the antics in Congress, "lunatic behavior."

Jesus made clear that you cannot serve God and Money. Either you will love the one and hate the other, or you will despise the one and be devoted to the other, like a drunken sailor on cocaine.

How else can you describe the rage and childish behavior of Congress? Both sides stoke fear about the looming national debt crisis but never admit it's a man-made catastrophe they created.

Corporate media bombards us with dramatic music stingers and swooshing graphics followed with breathless reporting that the "end is nigh," the federal government is going to shut down. 'Repent, and just let Washington, D.C. do its bidding!'

Did you know the federal government has shut down 21 times since 1976? Yeah, no one noticed.

Unless you're closer to my age, you probably are unaware the last time Congress passed a constitutionally required budget through appropriations was in 1997 under Republican Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich.

Instead, they keep passing massive bills with over one thousand pages in the cover of night. They call it an Omnibus. It really should be called an Abominable bus.

Which brings us full circle to the comment by Larry the Cable Guy.

This is lunatic behavior. These are our best and brightest. Sheeesh. Why doesn’t Grandma purple hair and all the D’s and R’s draft stand alone bills. Hmm.. then they get pissed at Musk for providing a platform where taxpayers get to see the shenanigans in real time. I have a feeling punk rock retiree here is more upset they no longer have control of what Americans get to see. “ we gotta pass the bill to see what’s in it” Remember that. I don’t get how just bringing single bills is controversial.
