This follows allegations by Jonathan and Suzy Lamb that Daystar TV covered up the alleged sexual abuse of their daughter. Joni Lamb, President of Daystar and Jonathan's mother, has released a half-hour interview refuting these accusations.

Faith Check News has not verified any of the claims. Our goal is to present both sides fairly. As Christians, we are called to demonstrate love. Since Daystar is a prominent national platform for the Christian community, its successes and challenges are important topics. We should approach this with prayer, seeking God’s resolution with grace while affirming that wrongdoing must be exposed and addressed.

Here is a summary of Joni Lamb's response to the allegations of a cover-up at Daystar.

When did Joni Lamb first learn about the initial sexual abuse claim involving Jonathan and Suzy Lamb's daughter at the preschool in November 2020?

The video ends with Joni making this comment:
"If you don't know the whole story, you can't understand the dynamics here."

Joni explains that Suzy called her and said her daughter told her that "a little boy touched her and her friend." According to Joni, Suzy asked her to accompany her to the school. Joni does not provide details about the outcome but asserts, "I never covered up anything.""

The second incident allegedly took place during a family retreat at a beach house in 2021. Jonathan and Suzy claim that a relative, referred to by the pseudonym "Pete," was found alone in an upstairs bedroom with their daughter, who was naked after going upstairs to change into her bathing suit.

The children were staying in a large upstairs bedroom. Pete was on one side of the room holding a one-year-old baby and standing near another grandson. Joni explains that Jonathan's daughter went to the other side of the room to change into her bathing suit. "Around the time she was putting on her bathing suit, Jonathan came running upstairs."

Joni suggests that Pete "may not have seen anything because he was holding the baby on the other side of the room."

After family discussions with Marcus and Joni Lamb, Joni states they concluded, "Clearly, nothing happened."

Did you cover it up?

"Eventually we worked through that misunderstanding. and Jonathan and Suzy ended up apologizing. And it was a done deal."

Why are Jonathan and Suzy doing this?

Joni outlines the succession plan for Daystar in the event of Marcus Lamb's death, stating that she would assume leadership of the network. She explains that this decision was clear and necessary, alleging that Jonathan had expected to become President.

In a meeting where Joni Lamb insisted that Jonathan submit to her authority, Jimmy Evans used the phrase "She's the voice of God to you." What did Evans mean by this analogy?

"I am not the voice of God. What Jimmy was saying is that I am the voice of authority at Daystar."

Jonathan Lamb claims that Daystar asked him to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) to prevent him from going public with the allegations of sexual abuse and the alleged cover-up.

Joni contends that the NDA was a routine business measure and denies that it was related to the allegations. She states, "It was for business reasons, and I just carried it on through."

Joni Lamb asserts that Jonathan's termination was unrelated to the publication of the allegations by Julie Roys in The Roys Report.

Joni explains how Jonathan was put through a performance evaluation because of complaints and concerns by managers and employees of Daystar under his leadership.

"And he just completely did not perform at all," recounts Joni.

"Little did I know that there was something else up. Where they were plotting and planning something to try to hurt me. To try to hurt Daystar. which again, is shocking. I would have never thought that would happen."
