Is Trump Making News Great Again?

The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, USA Today, and other national 'news' organizations have seen the light and chose not to endorse any candidate for President in 2024 because it conveys bias.

FAITH CHECK STAFF: After losing over 200,000 subscribers, Jeff Bezos, owner of the Washington Post, defiantly explains his decision not to endorse for President is based on the fundamental principles of journalism. Something major media outlets have lost sight of over the past decade.
"The Washington Post and the New York Times win prizes, but increasingly we talk only to a certain elite. More and more, we talk to ourselves," writes Bezos.

We know Bezos is telling the truth because of the mass exodus of WAPO subscribers. These are people who paid for the echo chamber. Now that their safe space has been desecrated, they're running for cover.

The WAPO owner went on to admit that less than 31% of the people trust media to tell the truth. Can I just say, Big Media uses polls to back up their claims and to influence voter behavior. So, isn't it ironic that even though those same polls show a super majority of Americans don't trust them, it's only now a few have come clean about their bias? Could that be the Trump effect as Tucker Carlson pointed out in a recent rally? "Trump made it possible to tell the truth." Because of that, Americans are turning to podcasts and other Internet sources for their news.

To be fair, the Internet has fractured the American conscience. While you can do your own research to find primary sources, firsthand witnesses, and read the documents for yourself, a lot of speculation and half-wit commentary is equally available...often within just a split-second Google search.

And to that end, we have an opportunity to reset our trusted news sources. Many fake news stories have been debunked because individual citizens did the hard work of a journalist to find fact-based information and sources.

Just one example is enough. "The border is secure," declared the Biden-Harris administration. Dozens if not hundreds of citizen journalist spent their own money, even risking their lives to physically go the border and report the truth of a mass migration of illegals across our Southern border. They reported on X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Youtube as well as blogs. After three years, the Harris-Biden administration was forced to reckon with the truth. Their response was to advocate for a bill that would have legalized catastrophic unsustainable illegal migration all paid for with American tax dollars.

The challenge is, even the Bible suggests the people must humble themselves, make right regarding their complacency and in some cases embrace of biased news, and demand a transparent, objective, and accountable news media.

Jeff Bezos, the owner of the Washington Post, published an op-ed in his paper on Thursday admitting that Americans do not find the Post nor competing papers “credible” or “accurate.”

That is why, Bezos explained, the Post did not endorse a presidential candidate, even Vice President Kamala Harris, who often receives favorable coverage from his paper’s newsroom.

It is the first time in 36 years that the Post did not endorse a candidate, a blow to Harris who is already suffering from not being endorsed by the L.A. Times, her hometown paper, and USA Today.
