Hollywood Actress Says Trans Child Makes Her More "Interesting"

Hollywood actress Annette Bening says that having a transgender child makes her more "interesting."

The Bible encourages parents to, "Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it." (Proverbs 22:6). What happens when the parent directs their child onto a path of delusion?

Annette Bening was a headline speaker at a protest organized by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) in Washington, D.C., coinciding with oral arguments for a case addressing medical treatments often referred to as “gender-affirming care” for minors. These treatments include hormone therapy, puberty blockers, and surgical procedures related to gender transition.

The case, United States v. Skrmetti, focuses on Tennessee’s efforts to restrict access to such care for minors diagnosed with gender dysphoria.

Oral arguments began on Wednesday, drawing protestors to the nation’s capital, including advocates from Hollywood who support this form of healthcare for minors.

During the protest, Bening shared her perspective as a parent of a transgender child.

“Having children is the greatest gift of my life, and having a transgender child has made me more interesting and wiser,” she said.

She also addressed the Supreme Court justices, encouraging them to engage with younger generations. “I urge them to talk to their kids, their grandkids, their nieces and nephews. If they really ask, ‘Do you know trans kids? Do you have non-binary friends?’ they’re likely to hear yes. It’s a reflection of the beautiful diversity of humanity,” she added.
