CNN: 2 Months into Trump 2.0 Americans Think We Are On The Right Track Thru the Roof

It could be true that the more Washington, D.C. rails about Trump, the more Americans approve of his policies.

CNN’s Harry Enten analyzed recent polls indicating that former President Donald Trump is currently more popular than at any point during his first term and even more popular than when he secured victory in the November 2024 election.

"The key takeaway here is that the percentage of Americans who believe the country is heading in the right direction has surged," Enten explained to CNN host Sara Sidner. "Historically, when presidents have been re-elected, similar approval trends have been observed. While Trump is not eligible for re-election due to constitutional limits, this comparison helps provide context—42 percent of Americans now say the country is on the right track under the incumbent party."

The percentage of Americans who think the country is on the right track is as high as it's been in over two decades.
