A gathering of Christian leaders recently took place in Texas, focusing on the global church, the Great Commission, and spreading the message of Jesus Christ worldwide. Representatives from various nations and denominations convened in Dallas to discuss what the Holy Spirit is revealing about sharing the Gospel to the ends of the earth.
The GCN plans to equip 1 million new ministries by 2030. Bible translation was the other key initiative, but they did not offer a timeline to translating the Bible into every language.
Dr. James Davis, the founder of the Global Church Network, outlined the mission of their movement with three key objectives:
‘Synergize, Mobilize, and Finalize – A Call to Completion’
"Our purpose is to unite the body of Christ, equip Christian leaders, and work toward completing the Great Commission. For too long, the church has spoken about fulfilling this mission ‘someday,’ but now is the time to take action. That’s why we emphasize synergy, mobilization, and ultimately, completion," Davis explained.
When asked how close the world is to seeing the Great Commission fulfilled, Davis expressed optimism, saying, "It could be within our lifetime. We are making significant progress in several areas. One of the key aspects is relationships—we believe that strong connections among believers are more powerful than any other resource. The church is recognizing that in order to reach every person with the Gospel, we must work together. That’s the foundation of synergy."
"The next step is mobilization, particularly in Bible translation. There has been a tremendous acceleration in translating Scripture into every language, and this effort is advancing rapidly on a global scale. Additionally, evangelism is thriving—more people are coming to faith in Christ today than at any other time in history," Davis added.
"Jesus said the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. We must have more full-time Gospel preaching, church planting, men and women of God around the world like never before to finish. And so, we have set strategic goals to help equip 1 million new ministers by 2030," Davis said.
