CA Governor Newsom Deflects Blame to Local Officials as Fires Rage in L.A.

Governor Gavin Newsom told CNN's Anderson Cooper, "Local folks are going to figure that out," when asked why firefighters are finding fire hydrants without water.

As of Bonchie writes on RedState, Newsom is not a bystander, though. The state that he has led for eight years (and was lieutenant governor of the eight years prior) has failed to build a new reservoir since 1979 despite multiple ballot propositions passed to fund those projects.

Even worse, during President Trump's first term, he tried to increase water diversions on federal land to increase California's water supply. Newsom and various environmental groups sued him and won.
