Bill Gates: AI Will Take the Jobs of Doctors, Teachers, and Other Professionals

In recent interviews, Bill Gates said rather of matter of fact, that most jobs will be replaced by Artificial Intelligence.

Pointing to examples such as great doctors and teachers, Gates explained that with the development of AI, high-quality medical advice and tutoring will soon be widely available at no cost. He described this new era as one of “free intelligence,” where AI-powered technologies will be accessible and touch nearly every aspect of our lives.

But it's not just jobs that require a lot of knowledge that will be replaced. Gates suggests that while jobs in the entertainment industry are unlikely to be taken over by AI, roles in manufacturing, transportation, and agriculture could become largely automated as AI technology advances.

The reason Bill Gates receives so much disdain is that first, he is so nonchalant about seismic shifts in society as if its nothing more than a software update. Worse, to my knowledge, he has never told us exactly what new jobs or income humans will have in the age of AI. And those of us old enough to remember, have not forgotten that the "experts" promised good paying jobs and cheap stuff if we globalize manufacturing. Those good paying jobs were shipped overseas. All we got were hollowed out towns, lost wages, and cheap plastic stuff.

Why should we believe that AI saving humanity from labor will be a good thing? Isn't that the promise. What do you think will happen when they take away labor and the need to grow your own intelligence? Maybe ask the parent of a thirty-nine-year-old son living in their basement.
